Finchampstead Ridges photograph by Helen White

The morning after

Strong gales and heavy rain in the night kept me awake watching the tree by my window almost doubling over. By early morning, the day was all radiant again; and, oh, the heady aroma of wet autumn forest…I only wish I could convey that too.

Photography of striking tree lit up by sun glow to look magical

Sorcerer tree

There’s something magical about this tree. Looking back, I find I photographed it more than once over a particular period of my life, and on this day there was something powerful going on. Like most trees, I suspect it was telling me something about myself that I needed to hear and the same goes for you if you find your eye drawn to it. Art photography giclée 40 x 30 cm.
